SAN DIEGO – October 10, 2019 – Triple W, an innovator of connected health devices, today announced it was named a winner of the HME Business 2019 New Product Award for DFree®, the first health wearable device for urinary incontinence. The award competition is sponsored by HME Business, the top business management media resource for home medical equipment (HME) professionals.

DFree is a non-invasive device that uses ultrasound technology to monitor bladder fullness and notifies you on your smartphone or tablet when it’s time to go to the bathroom via the DFree companion app. DFree stands for “diaper-free.” The HME Business New Product Award honors outstanding product development achievements by HME manufacturers and service providers. Fourteen winning products were selected in the sixth year of the program. DFree won in the “Incontinence & Urology Supplies” category. All entries are scored by a blind panel of judges from the HME provider community.

Winners will be recognized at Medtrade, the largest home medical equipment trade show and conference in the U.S. Medtrade Fall runs October 21-23 in Atlanta. Winners will also be featured on the HME Business website, hme-business.com, and will be featured in the November/December 2019 issue of HME Business magazine.

DFree helps to prevent accidental urinary leaks. Seniors and people with disability or provisional incontinence who need to manage a loss of bladder control now have an alternative to disposable diapers or pads and medications with the DFree health device. According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, urinary incontinence affects 500 million people worldwide. DFree is designed not only to help people with urinary incontinence improve their quality of life and enable independence, but also to help reduce the burden for the caregivers.

Availability

DFree is available for purchase in the U.S. from the DFree website, Amazon and authorized retailers for $399.99 (MSRP). Triple W also offers rent-to-own option where customers can rent DFree from the DFree website for $40 per month with a minimum rental term of 30 days. Any rental fees paid will be applied towards purchase should customers decide to keep it. The DFree companion app may be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play. The app supports iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod) running iOS version 10 or later and Android devices (phones, tablets) running Android 4.4 or later.
