Monitors Bowels With Ultrasound and Lets You Know When It’s Time to Go to the Bathroom
SAN DIEGO, January 2, 2020 – Triple W, an innovator of connected health devices, will feature a “sneak peek” of a prototype of the DFree® bowel sensor, the first wearable device for bowel incontinence, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas, January 7-10. Of persons aged 65 and over living at home, 44% reported accidental urinary leakage, and 17% reported accidental bowel leakage (source: CDC).
The DFree bowel sensor monitors your bowel and intestinal movements with a safe and noninvasive ultrasound sensor and notifies you (or a caregiver) via smartphone or tablet when it’s time to poop. DFree stands for “diaper-free.”
Triple W received “Best of CES 2019” award in the Digital Health category for its DFree bladder sensor. With DFree, people managing incontinence can live their life with peace of mind from accidental leaks. Seniors and people with disability who need to manage a loss of bladder or bowel control have an alternative to disposable diapers or pads and medications with the DFree line of ultrasound sensors for incontinence.
DFree for urinary incontinence is available for purchase in the U.S. from the DFree website, Amazon and authorized retailers for $399.99 (MSRP). Triple W also offers rent-to-own option where customers can rent DFree for urinary incontinence device from the DFree website for $40 per month with a minimum rental term of 30 days.
